Church Safety Seminar @ Rock Springs Baptist Church
Saturday April 28th at 9:30 am to 12:00 noon

With the tremendous response from January’s seminar held in Central SC we are conducting a second church safety seminar in the Upstate.

The recent tragic church shootings in Texas, Tennessee and South Carolina, many pastors and church leaders are wondering if they are doing enough to ensure the safety of their congregation and security of their facilities.  During this seminar we will look at the critical components for the development of a safety and medical program as well as key points on improving those programs through training, policies and collaboration.

There will be a church safety-security seminar at Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley April 28, 2018, for clergy and others in church leadership in any denomination.  Jason Cansler and Jason Rochester of the Rochester Insurance representing Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company, will discuss topics that will include creating a safety plan, essentials for having an effective security team, and legal issues. There will also be a question/answer session.

Each ministry that signs up and attends will receive a FREE COPY of The Church Safety & Security Guidebook, a 256 – page comprehensive guidebook to help your ministry’s team either get started or improve your established team (Limit one per registered ministry)

Jason Rochester joined Rochester Insurance as an agent in 2013 after spending five years as an assistant pastor in Reading, Pa. After graduating from Northland International University in 2009, he earned his Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary in Lansdale, Pa. Rochester Insurance partners with more than 1,500 churches and ministries in South Carolina. Since representing Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company in the early 1990’s, they have dedicated their entire staff exclusively to ministries, ranging from child safety resources to various aspects of church safety.  Jason Cansler serves as safety and medical director of Westgate Baptist Church and School (WBCS) in Spartanburg. Prior to starting the security program at WBCS, Cansler has also served as a security team member at Rock Springs Baptist Church. He serves as a consultant for Rochester Insurance with a focus on church security startups and development. Cansler has accumulated more than 13 years of experience in the security field, including six years as a decorated reserve law enforcement officer, two years as a South Carolina State Constable and more than five years as armed security officer licensed by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).

This free seminar will take place from 9:30 a.m. to Noon at the campus of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
