Meet Our Team

Ray Rochester
Ray RochesterAgency Principal
Ray Rochester, the president and owner of Rochester Insurance, graduated with a degree in accounting from Bob Jones University. After working a year with a local accounting firm, Ray began his insurance career working with his father’s agency in 1982.

Ray and his wife were both born in the upstate. They are blessed to have all their children and grandchildren living in the upstate as well.

Being a native of South Carolina, Ray feels especially honored to be able to insure and work with the churches of our state. His more than 30-year church insurance career qualifies him as one of the most experienced church insurance specialists in the state.

Ed Deese
Ed DeeseAgent
Ed Deese is one of our sales professionals and has been with the company for over 12 years. Prior to his coming to Rochester Insurance he was a pastor for 28 years in TN, NC, & SC. He has been married to his wife for over 44 years and they have 3 married daughters and 9 grandchildren.

Ed has the experience to understand the needs of churches having experienced those as a pastor. He also has the experience to help churches meet their risk management needs having worked with hundreds of churches during the past 12 years. He is a gifted speaker and does seminars for churches and groups on several risk management areas of need that ministries may face.

Jason Reekie

Jason Reekie’s work started at the age of 13 working under an apprenticeship program. At the age of 16 started a company that carried him through the next 9 years. Durning these year he earned an Associates Degree in Landscape Horticulture Technologies from Bob Jones University and went back to complete his Bachelor’s degree in Practical Christian Training from Bob Jones University. For the past 9 years Jason has worked as a producer and office manager for Rochester Insurance Agency.

When Jason is not working he is spending time with family and friends. His family has a burden for camp ministries and is frequently supporting and visiting camps around the country. Jason serves on the board for Southland Christian Ministries. His life verse is Eccl. 9:10a “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might”.

After growing up around Rochester Insurance & interning a couple summers, Jason joined the team as an agent in 2013. After graduating from Northland International University in 2009, Jason earned his Master of Arts in Biblical Studies in Eastern PA while serving as a Assistant Pastor with a focus on youth, music, & media. Jason’s experience in ministry helps him understand & serve the ministries he meets with daily.

When he isn’t helping ministries manage their risk, Jason enjoys his time with his wife & two kids, enjoying baseball & college football, and teaching the youth group at his church in Greer.

Marshall Shannon

Marshall Shannon is our marketing administrator and he started with our company in 2017. Prior to his coming to Rochester Insurance he was a pastor for over 18 years in SC and a church consultant serving churches around the country with their ministry and facility needs. He has been married to his wife for over 35 years and they have 2 married sons and 5 grandchildren.

Marshall has the experience to understand the needs of churches having experienced those as a pastor and consultant along with a unique skill set that enables him to assist church leaders prepare for the many challenges they face .

Jennifer Marshall

Jennifer Marshall has been a Customer Service Representative with Rochester Insurance since 2014. Jennifer is very ministry minded and focuses on providing quality service in the daily needs of each one of our clients. She desires to build strong relationships with our church representatives in helping serve their ministry’s insurance needs.

Jennifer is a former Christian school teacher of thirteen years. Her experience in Christian education provides her with a knowledgeable background in the functions of churches and Christian schools.

Ashley Roach

Ashley Roach has been with Rochester Insurance since 2015. She loves communicating and interacting with ministry related personnel on a daily basis. After graduating from Bob Jones University, Ashley worked for a Commercial Real Estate Agent with Spencer/Hines Properties and then transferred in to their property management division. This job gave her the skills and knowledge for customer service, computer technology, and bookkeeping.

Being from a Pastor’s home, Ashley has always had a heart for ministry and now being able to work for Rochester Insurance has given her the opportunity to use her skills to be an advocate for hundreds of ministries around South Carolina.
